Gionee Elates It’s Customer By Extending DOA Policy To 30 days

Leading global smartphone brand, Gionee, has revised its Dead on Arrival (DOA) policy. The policy, which earlier allowed customers to returnany Gionee mobile phone, which has developed a functional Defect within 7 days of the purchase has now been extended to 30 Days of purchase to benefit the end user. The new policy comes into effect from 21st February2017. 

A DOA headset must qualify the following conditions-

• Functional defect within 30 days of Activation/Proof of purchase (whichever is earlier)
• Handset box should be supported by original invoice with IMEI details
• Box, Handset and all original accessories should be available
• No sign of major scratches, damage, tampering, liquid damage or user defects• Defect must be re-produced in service center
• Customer approaches Authorized Service Centre with the defective handset along with Box and all accessories.

DOA shall not be considered under the following conditions –

•    In case the defect is not reproduced at SVC Center.
•    Any Software related issues. viii. Issues related to all kind of Accessories

Gionee currently has 460 exclusive service centers across India, which will go up to 650 by end of 2017 in order to enhance the service touch points.The Exclusive Service Center are equipped to handle complaint upto L3 level,which is another step towards setting new customer service standards and offering services for the entire product range under one single roof. The Exclusive service centers also include specialized zones for product demonstrations, customer interactions and face-to-face service for handheld devices.

Gionee Launches M5 Plus With 5020mAh Battery

Gionee India expanded its Marathon Series by adding the successor in the range, M5 Plus. The phone is future ready, offering both 4G with VoLTE and CDMA SIM support. The device will be available across retail outlets in India, as well as online exclusively through Flipkart.



Powered by a 5020mAh Li-ion battery, M5 Plus has 21 hours talk time and a standby time of up to 619 hours. The phone has 2.5D FHD AMOLED water drop display screen. The device is equipped with 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM, with expandable memory support upto 128GB. The device is authorized with fingerprint security option by customizing the security standards.

Marathon M5 Plus runs on the advanced Amigo 3.1 and comes equipped with features like Amiclone, that allows users to transfer and switch data from their old device at a fraction of a second. The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and front facing 5MP camera.

Gionee introduces the S8 Smartphone At MWC 2016

Gionee has officially launched the S8 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The new brand identity involves a new logo, together with “Make Smiles” as its new purpose statement. 




The S8’s full metal design features the world’s first invisible loop antenna which strikes a balance between sleek design and excellent signal strength. The phone supports full bands including b17 and b20 for global roaming, and enhances Wi-Fi and GPS signals. The S8 comes with 2.5D glass coated with colorful VM which displays a multi-color effect at different angles. With the latest 0.7mm 5.5-inch AMOLED display, the phone is able to stay compact without sacrificing quality and is still easy to hold. 




The S8 is the first smartphone to use RWB technology, as well as a F1.8 aperture and 6P lens that enables users to take optimum images in low-light scenarios. Gionee has upgraded its own camera software to Image+ 2.0. 

Using the embedded AKM4941 HD recording chip and the two highly sensitive microphones, the S8 allows users to capture videos with clear and high quality sound. Video editing is also simple as the phone’s video editor feature offers six sets of professional templates for users to apply.

Gionee has brought 3D Touch to the Android smartphone.S8 can sense 3levels of force including “touch” “tap” and “press”. The S8 carries 4G+ that allows users to enjoy free and fast mobile internet everywhere as well as better voice quality. Supporting dual 4G, FDD and TDD, and 7 modes and 14 bands, it allows users to roam globally. Moreover, the S8 is the first product equipped with Amigo 3.2 an OS developed based on Android 6.0. Both WhatsApp and WeChat messages can function seamlessly under Amigo 3.2.

Gionee Marathon M5 Lite with 3GB RAM launched at Rs 12,999

Gionee has launched the Marathon M5 Lite for Rs 12,999 in India. The smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.



The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 out of the box. It has an 32GB of inbuilt storage and is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. In terms of connectivity, it includes Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and MicroUSB.

The company claims that the device delivers up to 40 hours of talk time and 39 days of standby time. The smartphone houses a 4000mAh Li-Po battery and is available on the company online store. 

The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite was launched in China in December 2015 and had 16GB of inbuilt storage, 1GB RAM and was priced at CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 10,000).

Gionee adds 1GB and 3GB RAM variants to F103 smartphone

Gionee Smartphone has added 1GB and 3GB RAM variants to its F103 smartphone in India. The company claims that the series has already shipped 2,16,700 units so far. The Gionee F103 is powered with 1.3 GHz Quad Core. It features 12.7Cm (5.0) HD IPS Display and comes with Amigo 3.0, based on Android 5.0 OS. The Gionee F103 sports an 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 5 Megapixel camera. 



Commenting on the launch of the F series, Mr. Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, "We have shipped almost 2,16,700 units from the time we have introduced the Fashion Series in the Indian market. Design, supported with features has become an essential element for consumers when they buy phones. With our F series, we have achieved to get both design and performance in one device, for our consumers get the best of both worlds. Hence, we have introduced two more variants for F103, i.e. in 1GB and 3GB RAM which will ensure an even superior experience for consumers, while keeping the style quotient intact."

The Gionee F103 device comes in with an in-built 16GB memory and now backed by two more variants i.e. 1GB and 3GB RAM. It has Dual SIM 4G supported and it is backed by a  2400 mAh battery. It is available in three colors - Pearl White, Dawn White and Black. The Gionee F103 is available in India at Rs 8,499 for 1GB, Rs 9,999 for 2GB and, Rs 10,999 for the 3GB variants.

Gionee Elife E8 With 24 MegaPixel Camera Launched In India For Rs 34,999

Gionee has finally launched its flagship device, Elife E8 in India for Rs 34,999. The device will be available on Snapdeal starting from Monday, 12th October 2015. 



The Elife E8 was launched in China in June 2015 at CNY 3,999 (appr. Rs 41,100). The flagship device boasta of a 6 inch QHD (1440x2560 pixel) Super Amoled display with a pixel density of 490ppi. 

It is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MTK6795) SoC paired with 3GB RAM. It has 64GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB via micro-sd card. 

The smartphone sports a 24 megapixel camera with True Tone LED flash, lossless zoom, phase detection autofocus focus (for speeds up to 0.08 seconds) and click images up to a massive 120-megapixel resolution. It also supports 4K video recording. 

The smartphone houses a decent 3,520mAh battery and has a fingerprint reader on the back panel. In terms of connectivity, it has dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1 UI.

Gionee Elife E8 launching in India on 8th October

Gionee is all set to launch the Elife E8 smartphone in India. The launch will be held in the capital of India on 8th October 2015. Press invites has already been sent out. 



The Gionee E8 comes with a 6" Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2540p resolution and runs on Android Lollipop OS with the company’s Amigo 3.1 software out of the box. 

The Gionee smartphone is well known for their camera features. The E8 will sport a 24 megapixel rear camera and a 8 megapixel front facing camera. The company also claims that it is the 1st Android device to come with lossless imagery at 3X zoom. 

The handset is powered by a 2GHz Mediatek MT6785 octa core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and has 64GB inbuilt storage. The 4G dual sim smartphone comes with fingerprint scanner. It houses a decent 3,500mAh battery.

We had seen Gionee launching the smartphone in China in the month of June. It is priced at 3999 RMB (approx. Rs 41,124).

Gionee Pioneer P3S launched in India at Rs 5,999

Chinese company, Gionee has launched a budget smartphone, Pioneer P3S priced at Rs 5,999. 



Announcing the new Pioneer P3S smartphone, Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, "The latest offering Pioneer P3S is one of its kind device which packs stunning looks with powerful technology and is yet affordable. P3S ensures that consumers don’t have to compromise on quality and features over pricing."

The smartphone has a 4.5 inch display screen with 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with the Amigo 3.1 skin on top. 

It has an inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The handset sports a 5MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera. In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. The smartphone comes backed by a 2000mAh battery. It comes in four color options, white, grey, red, and golden.

Gionee Unveils Elife E8 And Marathon M5 Smartphones At Beijing

Chinese company Gionee unveiled two smartphones at Beijing including its flagship model Elife E8 for 3999 RMB (Rs 41,300). The other model being Marathon M5 smartphone for 2299 RMB (Rs 23,700). The Gionee smartphones are well know in terms of camera features.



The Gionee E8 has a mammoth 6-inch Super Amoled screen (2560 x 1440 pixels) and sports 24 Megapixel rear camera which allows lossless Zoom up to 3X. The secondary camera is an 8 Megapixel camera. It is powered by 2GHz Mediatek MT6785 octa-core processor and comes with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 64GB in-built memory which can be extended via micro-sd slot. The dual-sim phone packs in a powerful 3520mAh battery. Fingerprint scanner and Dual speakers adds to its features. It runs Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with company’s Amigo 3.1 software.

The second smartphone M5 sports a 5.5" HD Amoled display and 6020mAh battery. The smartphone actually has a pair of batteries, each 3,010mAh. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of in-built memory. It has a 13 MP camera on the back and 5 MP in the front. The company claims the batteries will last up to 4 days and boost standby time  to 62 hours with 5 percent battery life.

Both the smartphones have currently been announced for China only. The Marathon M5 will be available from June 25 and the Elife E8 will be available from July 15 onwards.

Gionee Elife E8 With 23MP To Launch In July

Gionee is likely to launch the Elife E8 in July. If rumours are true, it will have a 23 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.


The 23MP image sensor of Gionee Elife E8 might offer lossless zoom and produce 100MP Images.The chinese based company has got its phone certified by Tenaa. The new smartphone will have a 4.6 inch HD AMOLED display and 2560×1440 ppi resolution. It will be powered by MediaTek MT6795 chipset with octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM.

It is also rumoured to have 32GB of in-built storage (expandable) and 3,250mAh battery. Tipped to have a thickness of 9.6mm, the E8 will run Amigo 3.0 UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
