First Impressions: LeEco Le 1s Superphone

We saw LeEco launching two Superphones, Le Max and the Le 1s on 21st January 2016. The company sent us the LeEco Le 1s device last weekend and here’s our first impressions. The Le 1s is a budget smartphone but has plenty of great features. It has a 5.5" full-hd display screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. The fully metal unibody smartphone makes it really good to hold and gives a premium touch. The overall display is quite crisp. Interface is fast and smooth. The response time to open apps is quite fast.

The smartphone has great specifications. It is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage (with non-expandable memory). The Le 1s has a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera. The rear camera can shoot in 4K and yes, it also has slow motion video recording as well. The Le 1s runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Marshmallow update is expected by April this year.

Another impressive feature we liked is the fingerprint sensor at the back for security and easy unlocking. The company claims to have the world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner. The Le 1s comes with USB Type-C for quick charging. It houses in a neat 3000mAh non-removable battery and claims, with 5 minutes of charging it gives 3.5 hours of talk time. The Le 1S has dual SIMs- micro SIM and a nano SIM. In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Direct. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs only 169 g.

The Superphone is priced at an unbelievable price for Rs 10,999 only. We will have a detailed review soon and able to give a verdict on the phone. Stay tuned.
