LeEco Brings Boundary-Breaking Ecosystem Model To The U.S

LeEco Launches Super TVs, Range Starts From Rs 59,790

LeEco has ushered in a new era of content integrated Ecosystem TVs in India by launching its stunning Super3 series Ecosystem TV –Super3 X55, Super3 X65 and Super3 Max65 that supports 3D display.

Following the US$ 2 billion acquisition of leading American TV maker VIZIO on July 26th, LeEco is now making another significant move to expand its globally successful TV business.

LeEco partners with six offline to expand its offline retail presence in India

LeEco has announced today that it is all set to strengthen its offline presence across the country. LeEco has partnered with top Regional retail chains like Sangeetha, Poorvika & Zonal Distributors like Shivalik, AppsYouNeed, Pearl Infotech and PCH to expand its retail network. Through these partnerships, LeEco will be able to expand its retail base to 2000 outlets across 65 cities. By the end of this year, LeEco plans to reach 6000 - 8000 outlets.

LeEco will be offering Le 1S and Le 1S Eco Superphones through the offline model in the first phase and has plans to offer the entire product portfolio in the offline market in the coming months.

In the online space, LeEco is the third largest smartphone brand in India and is offering its Superphones via Flipkart and its own ecommerce marketplace – LeMall. The offline story for LeEco, started Delhi/NCR and spread across to Mumbai & Pune and it now has presence across top 6 metros – New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

To cater to a growing number of customers, LeEco also plans to set up more service centres in addition to the 555 outlets it has now.

LeEco Le 2 launched in India priced at Rs 11,999

LeEco today launched the Le 2 smartphone in India at Rs 11,999 and will be on sale at Flipkart and the company’s lemall.com. Le 2 sports a unibody metal and has will have a USB Type-C port and a finger print scanner.



 
LeEco features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will have a  32GB internal memory with no microSD card slot support.


The handset boasts of a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support. In terms of connectivity it has 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. The 4G dual sim phone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with EUI 5.8.

LeEco has a content membership program priced at Rs 490 per month or Rs 4,900 per year. Users can get access to over 2,000 movies in 10 languages and more than 3.5 million songs in 25 language. Users also get 5TB personal cloud storage space.

LeEco Joins Forces with Twitter for Global Brand Expansion

LeEco, the global internet and technology conglomerate and Twitter have announced a joint business partnership to grow LeEco’s global influence through the world’s pioneering live communications platform on 11 May.

LeEco 7.5 lakh Superphones sold out in a flash

The newly launched Superphones from LeEco garnered an unprecedented 23 million registrations on LeMall.com that eventually saw the global internet conglomerate sold out a total of over 7,50,000 units of Superphones. The sales accounted to a whopping 910 million RMB (around 140 million USD) on LeMall.com and other platforms from the opening up of its official sales at 10am on April 26, 2016, in Beijing.



Le Max2 got sold out in just 57 seconds whereas, Le 2 was sold out in 8.26 minutes. The official sales of Le 2, Le Max2 and Le 2Pro and the 4th generation Super TVs kicked off at 10am, 26 April (GMT+8) on LeMall.com, JD.com, TMall and LePar Stores.
   
The second generation Superphones are the first in the world to revolutionize and replace the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack with the USB Type-C audio port supported by CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology, entirely disrupting the changeless headphone industry.
  
LeEco entered the Indian market in January 2016 with a focus on device and content offerings. LeEco has outlined its plan to bring its entire ecosystem to India and launch many of its Super products' varients in India.

LeEco Plans To Open Exclusive Offline Stores In India

LeEco, the global technology and internet conglomerate, has filed an application with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) for undertaking single brand retail trading of electronic products both through brick and mortar stores and e-commerce portal. The company has also sought relaxation from the 30% domestic sourcing rule so that it can bring in "cutting edge technology" and “state-of-the-art” features to Indian consumers.



The technology and internet giant which entered the India market early this year in January, introducing its unique Ecosystem model and launching its two Superphone models- Le 1s and Le Max, has received a great response from industry as well as consumers in a short span of time. 

With plans to open fully owned exclusive retail stores in top 8 to 10 cities, starting with New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, LeEco plans to display its entire Ecosystem ranging from phones, TVs, VR Headsets, Bluetooth devices and power banks. Additionally, the company will also open 500 franchise stores to ensure its consumers can experience their breakthrough products and unique content integrated offerings across its device ecosystem.

LeEco announces Le Max Pro sale at Mobile World Congress 2016

LeEco has announced the sale of the world's first smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset-Le Max Pro on 22nd February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona. The new generation Superphone is priced at approximately RMB 1,999 (INR 21,000).



The device was first revealed during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 at Las Vegas in January. Le Max Pro, designed in state-of-the-art technology, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow system topped with LeEco's eUI. 

Its bezel-less, full metal unibody design out of aircraft grade aluminium makes it solid and premium. It also has the world’s first full-floating glass, which is a Sharp branded screen exclusively for LeEco.

As for the camera specs, Le Max Pro sports a 21MP rear-facing camera unit with Sony IMX230 Sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and dual ISP support. The 4MP unit up front is accompanied by 81.6-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture.

As the Snapdragon 820 chipset is optimized for a perfect performance, Le Max Pro sores over 140,000 in Antutu, one of the most popular benchmarking apps on Android. The device also comes with 4GB RAM and UFS 2.0 flash storage, which is currently the fastest mobile storage technology available in the world.


LeEco joins hands with Akshaya Patra for providing childrens’ midday meal

LeEco has joined hands with Akshaya Patra to support a mid-day meal for two children for every Le Superphone sold  (Le 1s and Le Max)  on LeEco Day on Feb 25, 2016.  The initiative is part of a program that helps Akshaya Patra feed over a million children.



LeEco, which recently entered the Indian market has become consumers’ favourite brand in a short span of time.

9.2 lakh registrations for Le 1s 2nd flash sale on Flipkart

Chinese company LeEco today announced that the registrations for its second flash sale of Le 1s has already reached 9,20,000 on Flipkart. The pre-sale registrations has crossed the milestone achieved for registrations for the first flash sale, which was 6,05,000.

LeEco sells record 70,000 units of Le 1s smartphone in just 2 seconds

LeEco has sold a record 70,000 units of the Le 1s in just 2 seconds! At the same time, LeEco also has three records to its name. The largest number of phones sold out in a single flash sale, the shortest ever time for sale of such a large number of phones, and the highest presale registration number.  




LeEco had introduced two SuperPhones, Le Max and Le 1s -   the latter popularly referred to as “flagship killer” last month. Within 24 hours of the launch event, the registration for Le 1s exceeded 1 lakh, and in 5 days, moved upto more than 3 lakhs and within 10 days soared to more than 5.3 lakhs on Flipkart, and the final pre-sale registration number touched 6,05,000.  




"I am so proud of our achievement and the magic number of 70,000 in just 2 seconds which has never before been  achieved by any other smartphone brand. First Impressions: LeEco Le 1s Superphone

We saw LeEco launching two Superphones, Le Max and the Le 1s on 21st January 2016. The company sent us the LeEco Le 1s device last weekend and here’s our first impressions. The Le 1s is a budget smartphone but has plenty of great features. It has a 5.5" full-hd display screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. The fully metal unibody smartphone makes it really good to hold and gives a premium touch. The overall display is quite crisp. Interface is fast and smooth. The response time to open apps is quite fast.




The smartphone has great specifications. It is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage (with non-expandable memory). The Le 1s has a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera. The rear camera can shoot in 4K and yes, it also has slow motion video recording as well. The Le 1s runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Marshmallow update is expected by April this year. 




Another impressive feature we liked is the fingerprint sensor at the back for security and easy unlocking. The company claims to have the world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner. The Le 1s comes with USB Type-C for quick charging. It houses in a neat 3000mAh non-removable battery and claims, with 5 minutes of charging it gives 3.5 hours of talk time. The Le 1S has dual SIMs- micro SIM and a nano SIM. In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Direct. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs only 169 g.

LeEco has a record 555 service centres in India

LeEco which recently launched the brand in the Indian market with its two Superphones - LeMax and Le1s, today announced the opening of 555 service centers covering more than 300 towns of the country. LeEco is the first smartphone brand to enter the Indian market with such an extensive after-sales network. 




The 555 service centers will be 24X7 toll free, providing 10 languages, including English, Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.

And the warranty policies are all above the industry lines. For example, within the 1 year warranty period, user can get a brand-new Le Max if the phone is broken or not working due to its own quality. The brand is offering free pick- up and drop for the Super Premium Phone- Le Max in case of any damage.

The Le Max features a 6.33 inch screen and backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 4GB DD-R4 RAM. It comes in 64GB or 128GB storage variants. It sports a 6-piece lens 21Megapixel rear camera with Sony's IMX230 sensor and Optical Image Stabilizer and a a wide angle 5P lens and F2.0 aperture.

Le Max is also the world’s first phone with a 2K display and a 21 MP camera. Users can just touch the fingerprint scanner at the back to capture photos or videos. LeEco has partnered with AKG Acoustics to develop the Le Hi-Fi experience. Le Max is also the world's first full-floating glass, which is a Sharp Screen exclusively for LeEco, and bezel-less design. 

Atul, COO of Smart Electronics Business, Le Eco India, said Le Max will be available in 2 colors- shimmer gold with 128GB and titanium silver with 64GB of memory, which would be available on Flipkart from 16th February. Le Max Sapphire is the top end variant has the same specs with Le Max except its display screen, which is a 6.33 inch sapphire. The Sapphire version of Le Max is pink color and will have sales based on invitation and only has a limited stock of 1000 units.

Le 1s has also the world's fastest fingerprint recognition technology, which can unlock the phone from any angle within 0.15s with 99.3% accuracy, and the phone can maximally add 5 fingerprints. Le 1s also has the world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner and supports type-C port for fast charging technology. 

The Le 1s would be exclusively available on Flipkart starting 2nd February, with first flash sale on 2nd February starting 12 noon. The registration for the same will start on 20th January 6pm and will end on 2nd February at 11am.

The phone comes with a 5.5" touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled  with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage (with non-expandable memory). The Le 1s packs in a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. 

The Le 1s is equipped with Helio X10 Turbo which allows a quick charge which means 5 minutes of charging gives 3.5 hours of talk time. The Le 1s runs Android 5.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery.
