Lenovo (including Motorola) has raced to the third position in the smartphone segment for the first time ever in India with a market share of 11 per cent during Q4 201. Lenovo was also the second largest 4G LTE player for the year according to the report.
Lenovo has consistently gained market share in India over the last year — from 5.1 per cent in Q4 2014 to 11 per cent in Q4 2015 to be the third-largest smartphone player in India. Lenovo’s 4G portfolio particularly has been a great success in the Indian market with devices such as K3 Note, Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto X Play, Moto E (2nd Gen), A6000 and A6000 Plus being market favourites in 2015.
