Blackberry will be launching the mid-range smartphone called the Blackberry leap next month. Blackberry had unveiled it at Mobile World Congress earlier this year.
It has a 5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and has a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card support. It sports 8 MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 2 MP secondary camera. he device can record 1080p videos at 30fps and also has a 5x digital zoom. Connectivity options included are WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS support.
It has inbuilt accelerometer and proximity sensors. The smartphone comes with a non removable Li-ion 2800 mAh battery. The company claims up to 25 hours of talk time. The smartphone gives access to Blackberry World as well as Amazon App store. The cost of this handset is expected to be around Rs. 17,000.
