Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 3 at Rs 9,999

Xiaomi has announced the launch of its budget smartphone, Redmi Note 3 at an event held in Delhi. The phone is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 16GB model and Rs 11,999 for the 32GB variant. The phone will be available in silver, gold, and grey colors.




The Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 650 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM on the 16GB model and 3GB RAM on the 32GB model. The device sports a 16 megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. 

It houses in a powerful 4,050 mAh battery. The Redmi Note 3 is also the first Xiaomi phone to have a fingerprint sensor at the back and a metal body. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with MIUI 7. In terms of connectivity, it has LTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1.

The Redmi Note 3 will be assembled in India as part of the country's Make in India initiative. The handset will be available at Mi.com and also on Amazon, starting March 9 at 2 PM. It will also be available on Flipkart and Snapdeal but at a later date.
