Xiaomi has announced the launch of Redmi 3, a budget smartphone for CNY 699 (approx Rs 7,100). The smartphone sports a metal body with a textured rear panel. It features a 5 inch display with HD 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and can be expanded up to 128GB via microsd card.
The device comes sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. The front camera supports full-HD recording. The dual SIM smartphone houses a 4100mAh non removable battery. In terms of connectivity, it features Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The device is available on their company website Mi.com and Tmall. It will go on sale in China starting tomorrow. There are three color options available, gold, grey and silver.
