Intex Technologies has announced its association with Jolla for incorporating the sailfish OS in their portfolio. The second largest smartphone maker of Indian origin, with a market share of 10.5% plans to announce sailfish based products later in the year, working towards offering more choices in the Indian Mobile ecosystem.
The aim for Sailfish India is to develop a unique Indian mobile ecosystem, which will lead to greater differentiation in the market meaning more choices for consumers and higher user satisfaction.
Commenting on this association, Mr. Sanjay Kalirona, Head Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, "We are very excited to be the world’s first licensing partner for Sailfish OS and look forward to utilizing the great user experience of the next generation Sailfish OS 2.0 in our products. Together with the Sailfish India ecosystem partners we believe that we can provide an exciting new choice for smartphone lovers in India and later globally as well.
