Panasonic Launches 4G Eluga Mark smartphone for Rs 11,990

Panasonic India today announced the launch of its security-oriented smartphone, the Eluga Mark at a price of Rs. 11,990. The smartphone features privacy features such as fingerprint sensor (can configure up to 8 different finger prints) and Android-For-Work for enhanced IT security & BYOD support.



The Eluga Mark features a 5.5" IPS display and houses a 2500 mAh battery. The device comes with Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS out-of-the-box and is powered by 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa Core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB internal memory and is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. It sports a  13 MP rear camera optimized by LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera for selfies. 

The dual-sim smartphone is 4G/LTE enabled including advanced A-GPS global positioning technology. It is available in Royal Gold and Metallic Grey finish. The Eluga Mark comes with the FitHome user interface engineered exclusively by Panasonic, which is distinctive in nature and enables single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen. 

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, "With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users.  We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on “Make in India” and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions."
