LG to introduce new LG signature brand at CES 2016

At CES 2016, LG Electronics (LG) will officially unveil its new LG SIGNATURE product lineup. The vision of LG SIGNATURE is to stay pure and sophisticated, true to each product's essence. The initial offerings in the LG SIGNATURE lineup include a 4K HDR-enabled OLED TV and a futuristic hybrid air purifiers.

The 2016 CES 'Best of Innovation' award winning LG SIGNATURE OLED TV boasts the ultimate in elegant simplicity by eliminating all unnecessary elements that distract from the viewer’s immersive experience. The LG SIGNATURE OLED TV features the company’s unique Picture-on-Glass design, which boasts an ultra-thin 2.57mm OLED panel with a translucent glass back and forward-facing sound bar speaker system. To achieve this streamlined profile that blends in naturally into any interior environment, designers eliminated all unnecessary features and placed the speakers inside the stand.

The LG SIGNATURE OLED TV has received the Ultra HD Premium seal of recognition from the UHD Alliance (UHDA) signifying that it meets the most demanding performance standards for resolution, HDR (high dynamic range), peak luminance, black levels, wide color gamut and immersive audio, among other criteria. With HDR capabilities, Pixel Dimming, 10-bit panel/10-bit processing power, ColorPrime Pro and new webOS 3.0, the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV represents the ultimate in TV technology.

Watch Latest Movies With Google Play Movies On LG Smart TVs

Lg has announced that starting from this month, LG Smart TV owners will be able to enjoy thousands of movies and TV shows through "Google Play Movies & TV" in more than 100 countries. Compatible with LG’s industry-leading web OS Smart TV platform (as well as its earlier NetCast 4.0 and 4.5), Google Play Movies & TV will offer timeless classics, new releases, independent films and cult favourites in both HD and SD formats.

With Google Play Movies & TV, viewers can rent or buy from among thousands of movies or TV shows from major Hollywood studios. And because all the content originates from the cloud, viewers can begin watching on their LG Smart TVs at home and resume watching from where they left off the next day on their smartphone, tablet or PC.

"The smart TV market is growing rapidly and with that comes a tremendous demand for fresher, higher-quality content," said In-kyu Lee, senior vice president and head of the TV and monitor division at the LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. "Meeting this demand is LG’s highest priority, matched only by our desire to provide the best possible viewing experience on our TV products with the webOS platform. Our close partnership with Googlewill go a long way toward fulfilling the high expectations of LG Smart TV owners."

Google Play Movies will become available starting this month on LG Smart TVs in 104 countries with the TV service rolling out initially in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
