Obi Worldphone today launched its latest model, Obi Worldphone MV1 at Mobile World Congress. The phone’s sculptural look was created by Ammunition, a San Francisco-based design firm that shares Obi’s ethos of fashion, form, and function. The MV1 represents a refreshing wave of design packed into a practical 4G LTE enabled device.

MV1 comes equipped with both Android Lollipop 5.1 and Cyanogen OS 12.1.1, the latest operating system from Cyanogen. The phone features a 5-inch display with 720X1280 HD resolution.
It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The dual-sim smartphone has 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The Obi MV1 sports a 8 megapixel rear camera on the rear and a 2 megapixel camera. It houses a 2500mAh non removable battery and weighs 149 grams.
Obi Worldphone has announced discount of Rs 1400 on the purchase of Obi SF1 starting from 12th Feb till 14th Feb 2016. The device is available on Amazon.in and NDTV Gadgets 360. Priced at INR 11,999 for the 2GB variant and at INR 13,999 for the 3GB variant, the smartphone boasts a floating glass display.
Obi Worldphone, the former Apple CEO John Sculley-backed company, launched its flagship smartphone the Obi SF1 in India through an exclusive- tie up with Gadgets360, a NDTV venture. Obi SF1 comes with 4G LTE and supports FDD B3 1800MHz and TDD B40 2300MHz bands.The smartphone comes with a 5-inch JDI In-Cell IPS full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display offering a pixel density of 443ppi.
It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for screen protection. It runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the Obi Lifespeed UI, and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The Obi SF1 supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). It sports a 13MP AF with LED Flash and houses in a 3000mAh battery.
Obi Worldphone has launched its Flagship device 'Obi WorldphoneSF1' and also made its entry in the Indian market. It will be available for consumers from December 7th, exclusively on NDTV Gadgets360.
The smartphone will be available in two variants –one with 2GB RAM/16GB storage and the other with 3GB RAM/32GB storage. Both the variant comes with expandable memory of up to 64 GB.

The smartphone runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the Obi Lifespeed UI out of the box. The SF1 sports a 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor, AF, LED flash and f/2.0 Aperture. There is a 5MP camera with LED flash for selfies.
In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G LTE support. The dual-SIM smartphone houses a decent 3000 mAh Li-Po battery. The 32GB version costs a couple of thousand more ie Rs 13,999.
