The camera phone brand OPPO, strengthened the ‘Group Selfie’ trend today by launching another Selfie Expert F3, priced at Rs 19,990 for the mid-range market. The F3 is the second in line dual front camera Selfie Expert targeted towards the Group Selfie generation after the recently launched F3 Plus.

The F3 First Sale begins from May 13th in 25 cities across India. The pre-order starts from today till May12th 2017. It will be available online on Flipkart exclusively. Consumers can also pre-order offline through OPPO stores.
On this occasion, OPPO also revealed the Team India jersey in the presence of OPPO India President and BCCI CEO. The brand has always focused on cricket as a platform in its endeavor to connect with the consumers especially the youth. OPPO announced the launch of its diamond smartphone, Mirror 5 at Rs 15,990. The smartphone comes with Color OS 2.1 (based on the latest Android 5.1 OS) and will be available in White and Blue color options across India. The Mirror 5 has dual SIM slots and SD card support of up to 128 GB.
The device comes with 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core 64 bit processor with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM. It sports an 8MP rear camera (1.4um pixel size) and 5MP front facing camera. The device sports 5 inch IPS display with 960x540 pixels and 220 PPI. It weighs 160 gm and comes with 2420mAh battery.

OPPO announced the launch of its budget phone, Neo 5 in the Indian market for Rs 9,990. The dual-sim Neo 5 sports 4.5inch IPS display with 480X854 pixels. The front screen is scratch-resistant Dragon trail glass and the rear cover is applied with special laminating, and the material used is the glass fiber which is military using class.
It offers a 1.3GHz Quad Core Processor with 1 GB RAM. The company claims the phone has a standby time of 180 hours. This Smartphone runs on Color OS 2.0.1i based on Android 4.4 powered by MediaTek MT6582. The Smartphone weighs 135gm and has 219 PPI. It has 8GB ROM which is expandable upto 32GB.

Chinese Smartphone company OPPO announced its plans to setup its own-brand handsets manufacturing unit in India by August 2015.

According to Sky Li, Vice President, OPPO "India is the top priority in our expansion plans in South Asia this year. The Smartphone boom in India indicates the time is just right to focus on expansion plans and increasing volume in India to a comparable level with the China market in the next five years. 2015 will be a year of expansion for us. We are already among the 'top three' players in Indonesia, with more than 11 percent market share. Similarly we have 13 percent in Vietnam and almost 11 percent in Malaysia. Globally, we plan to sell more that 15 million units this year"
OPPO entered the Indian market in January 2014 and is aiming for rapid growth and expansion across target markets in India. Oppo has sold around 4,00,000 devices in India and are targeting for 1.5 million units this year. In terms of service centres, OPPO India is targeting to open 200 service centres by end of 2015. Currently, OPPO has 120 in India.
According to Cyber Media Research India Monthly Mobile Handsets Market Review, a total of 53 million mobile handsets were shipped in first quarter of calendar Year 2015. Out of these, 19.5 million or about 37 percent of handsets were smartphones, while rest were feature phones.
