CES 2016: LeTV's 65-inch TV is world's thinnest at 3.9mm

China-based Internet conglomerate Letv on Wednesday released the world's thinnest TV, Super 4 Max65 Blade at the ongoing four-day International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.



The sleek and slim TV is just 3.9mm thick which is equivalent of two coins put together. The Super 4 Max65 Blade has a separate speaker and is the first product of company's second chain of TV series after 70-inch Super 4 Max70 and 65-inch Super 4 Max 65 Curved were launched in Beijing two weeks ago.

At CES 2016, LeTV also revealed its cooperation with Faraday Future, a new and emerging electric car project in America. The company also released its latest Superphone, Le Max Pro, the world’s first phone that runs on Qualcomm 820 processor.

Letv unfolds a new era of innovation products

Letv, a leading internet conglomerate and technology company has launched its innovative Le 3D Helmet, LeMe Bluetooth Headphones and Super Cycle. The devices were launched by Mr. Dickson Lee, General Manager, APAC Smart Device of Letv at an event in New Delhi. Letv is also likely to launch its globally successful flagship Superphones in India soon. 

Le 3D Helmet: The Le 3D Helmet offers a sharp and customized user experience. The helmet is equipped with a 5.5" SHARP 2K LCD screen and a resolution of 2560*1440 with 70° field of view. With slick dimensions, the device is easy to hold and light to carry, as it weights <450g (excluding headband).The helmet comes with a USB Type C port to connect with your phone for MHL signal input. 



LeMe Bluetooth Headphones: The LeMe range Bluetooth Headphones from Letv, feature a dimension of 180*176.8*62.8MM, and a speaker frequency response of 20Hz– 20,000Hz, for the ultimate wireless audio experience. The device also sports a powerful 195 mAH Li-ion polymer battery for on the go usage enabling music playback time and talking time of 10 hours and standby time of 26.5 days with charging time of 2 hours. The headphones will offer users a chance to express their personality with colors as they are available in a wide range of variants like red, pink, blue, orange and white and comes with a charging port of Micro USB Type B with a wireless range of 10m and weight about 240g. 



Super Cycle: The first of its kind smart urban Cycle is an Internet-enabled self-powered transport system. With various sensors integrated in the Cycle, it collects all data generated when cycling as well as monitors how you cycle and through cloud computing allows you to get real-time statistical data. The keyless and chain-less anti-theft technology installed with Fingerprint identification makes the Super Cycle smarter, cooler and only for you. Via mobile App controls, real-time positioning and remote locking and unlocking is possible on the Super Cycle. Built-in digital PTT walkie-talkie, Bluetooth technology and a 3G WCDMA telecommunication module, makes the Super Cycle more fun.

Aston Martin And Letv Sign Partnership Mou On Development Of Connected Electric Vehicles

Aston Martin and Letv today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a research partnership for the development of connected electric vehicles. The partnership will see the two companies working together on research projects ranging from connected car technologies through to manufacturing consultation on new electric vehicles. 



It is envisaged that these technologies could feature in the future Rapid E, the first ever all-electric Aston Martin, which will be manufactured at the company’s UK headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire.  The RapidE will draw on advanced technology solutions from leading global suppliers including those based in the UK and China.

Following the announcement of their collaboration with Aston Martin in April this year, leading Chinese technology company Letv will bring their engineering and product development capabilities to help provide advanced connected car solutions to the RapidE.  The new research partnership will also begin a feasibility study focused on bringing Aston Martin consulting expertise in high quality manufacturing to support the production of future Letv electric vehicles. 

Commenting on the significance of this new partnership, Dr. Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin said, "We see the connected vehicles as a vital part of our future product portfolio and welcome Letv as a research partners in this exciting venture. Both the Chinese and British Governments have taken meaningful steps to encourage the widespread adoption of zero emission technologies, and we look forward to utilizing our expertise not only for our RapidE cars, but also in providing manufacturing assistance through our consulting capability, to Letv."

Letv’s Superphones rumoured to be undergoing testing in India

News has just come in  that Letv is  testing its 'Superphones' at multiple  locations in India, because apparently the company accords top priority to ensuring  flawless performance of its phones for Indian consumers. The company is reportedly keen to customize its devices to suit the Indian users and has been testing its devices on user experience and several other parameters. An Letv employee on condition of anonymity said that the company is keen to introduce Superphones completely aligned  to Indian consumers requirements and hence devoting considerable effort and resources to repeated testing process. 



Letv’s Superphones are said to be developed with state-of-the-art materials and innovative new features that are all supported by Letv's unique content interface and ecosystem. The Superphones being tested are rumored to have a Snapdragon 810 processor, along with 4GB RAM, (gold) 128 (Silver) 64 GB of internal storage and 21 MP rear Camera with 4 MP (ultrapixels) front camera,  perfect for selfies.  It is also reported  that the phones have a 6.33 screen size with 2560*1440 pixels resolution, and  3400mAh battery,  finger print sensor, dual LED flash, hi-fi sound system, wide angle selfie, world’s first USB type C and other such great features.

Letv the internet conglomerate has been in the news lately for its decision to enter the Indian market and reportedly making steady progress on all fronts. Earlier it had launched its official e- commerce platform Lemall.com, a significant move in its India entry strategy. 

Letv’s will reportedly adopt its disruptive price model here in India too, along with the bundled content services.

Letv to debut at Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas 2016

Letv has made an announcement about taking part in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in Las Vegas. The speculation is that this appearance at CES could precede the organization’s entry into India.



CES is a globally renowned electronics and technology tradeshow hosted by Consumer Electronics Association in United States. Held in Las Vegas every year from 6 to 9 January, CES has become the largest and most impactful consumer electronics and technology trade show in the world. Letv made its appearance in CES Asia in Shanghai in May this year, where it exhibited its premium Series 3 Super TV X55 and Max65. As the world’s only internet company with a connected and all-inclusive ecosystem covering Cloud, TV, mobile, electric car, sports and internet finance, Letv will certainly impress audiences with products and concepts that bind leading technology and a superb user experience. 

At a press meeting in Hong Kong, Letv launched several products including its flagship Superphones, the world’s first innovative EUI system and newly-acquired content. To conclude the briefing, Tin Mok, Vice President of Le Holdings and CEO, APAC ended his presentation with “See you in Las Vegas”, which implies that Letv will be an active participant at CES to be held in Las Vegas between 6-9 January 2016. 

Founded in 2004 as a video-streaming company, Letv has become a full-fledged listed conglomerate with a wide range of businesses including TVs, mobile phones, green cars, sports, music, movies and TV show production. Highly active interactions and responses from Indian users on the company’s social media platforms are indicative of Letv gearing up to amaze the Indian market as well.

LETV announces Le 1s Smartphone

Letv launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Le 1s. It features an all-metal body, along with fingerprint ID and fast charging technology.




"Letv’s new products reflect the needs and aspirations of all our customers with the high-performance Le 1s phone at a breakthrough sub- 1099 RMB—and also a luxurious 120-inch Super TV that appeals to ambitions of all our customers," Letv founder and CEO Jia Yueting said. 

The Le 1s features a bezel-less design and is powered by Mediatek flagship Helio X10 Turbo octa-core processorcoupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB in-built storage, and a reversible USB Type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology. The Le 1s also introduced the world’s first mirror fingerprint sensor "Le Touch" that can double as a camera shutter button. Le 1s comes pre-installed with the EUI 5.5 operating system, providing access to Letv’s world-class ecosystem and content services. Le 1s will be jointly launched at LeMall.com and JD.com in China on Nov 3, available for 1099 RMB (appr. Rs 11,365). 

The sales channels shall remain open on a long-term basis, and customers can continue to purchase the product. In addition, the device will no longer be bundled with Letv membership.

At the April 14 event earlier this year, Letv launched three Le Superphones, and since then, sales have exceeded 1 million units, the fastest among all new brands to break the million-unit sales barrier. In the 6 months after its launch, the Letv Le Superphone redefined mobile phones with its ecosystem model, pushing the industry from the smart phone era into the ecosystem era.
